Fun in the sun….ooops, I mean snow!
Well, it has been a very busy holiday season with all this snow. Thankfully, due to the diligence and perseverance of Thea, Christina and Marion, with some help from Julia, Deb, Sarah and Ashley, every horse got to go out almost everyday throughout the big snow storm! Thanks to everyone else that helped out too. With the two indoors and some non icy paddocks, all the horses were able to get out pretty much every day during the week except Christmas Day. The weekend staff has been doing a great job too, but the pathways have been very slippery! Thanks to Chelsea as well for coming in on Christmas to feed and water everyone, and to Sylvia for doing the horses when all the rest of us were snowed out or snowed in!
Thanks to everyone for the great Chrismas presents too. They made the trek up the snow covered office stairs worthwhile.
Ges has made the most of his time indoors, learning how to open his stall door. Pretty amazing since he is in the main barn with an external floor latch on the outside of his door. Very clever boy, just like his mom Julia pointed out. Danny was always opening double ended clips and escaping.
As I am writing this, Odette popped up in MSM. Nice to be able to keep in touch will all the girls that are now far far away! Sarah, Erin, Alana, Alicia, Kayti, and now Megan….we are glad to know what you are all up to! Odette will be getting married here in August, but will live in Montreal
Don’t forget about the Massage Clinic. It will be Jan. 30th at 7:00 and will include some snacks and hot drinks! Shannon will go over the basics of horse massage and stretching. You can bring your own horse, or your favorite lesson horse, or just come to watch. Cost is 10.00 per person, GST included.
Marion has been taking some great pictures at the barn, so I will leave you with those, while I get back to doing my schoolwork!
