Bad Blogger finally returns to computer

I am sorry everyone that I have not been keeping up with the news, but, ummm, have you seen the weather outside??  Who can be indoors on a computer in this weather?

News:

Today will be catch up day, with photos of Chelsea’s grad, pictures of Amanda competing in Austrailia, if I can get them to load this time, and more!

Did everyone see the write up about the clinic in the Gaitpost? Great picture of everyone too!

We welcomed several new horses recently, including Gabby. Gabby is a lovely hunter mare and is currently for lease or sale, as Madeleine is busy with University. Also arriving was Marie’s new  horse, Banjo. He is settling in well and she is smiling smiling smiling. Skippy will miss Marie, but he now has Shannon Maxwell back so he will be content.  Several new horses arrive soon, so make sure to say hi to the new people you see around  the farm.

We also saw the SPCA horses come and then leave for new adoptive homes. I am sure they will do well with their new riders. Did you see us on TV? Global News is a big supporter of the SPCA, so they came out to film the horses and interview the SPCA officers. The SPCA has over 50 horses in care right now, so any help is appreciated. You can make donations that will be specifically used for horses. Check the HCBC website for details, or talk to the SPCA directly.

Summer Camp registration is in full swing, so if you are wanting to work at camp, be sure to let Thea know.

Show season is also in full swing, with horses coming and going to TB, MREC, the DRC, Milner, and soon enough Twin Oaks and Southlands too.

We also have a new working student, Allie Henderson. Allie is riding horses for us and showing Chester for Janice.

Lots of beach rides have been happening, both at Boundary Bay and Pt Roberts. Be sure to let Marion know if you want in on a ride, or want to book Ben to trailer you and your horse to the Bay.

Clinics

Summer is a bit of a slower time for clinics. We will be having Birthe Shuman McKeon in June, likely the 28th.

Other Events

We have been hosting some Vancouver schools over the past few months, as well as BIrthday Parties. This Tueday evening we will have a Guide group, and on the 20th, the Psychology Department of Kwantlen Polytechnic will have a going away party for a faculty member at the farm, with a BBQ and horse riding for the kids and the big kids :).

Photo Gallery

Well here are some of the pics I promised:

Ok, so no pictures, the blog does not want to accept any today. Perhaps the blog gremlins are at the beach too. Well, I am off to the beach as well then!
